Unassigned Seating

Unliked traditional assigned seating, unassigned seating refers to a workplace practice in which employees are not assigned to a certain desk.

Employees can get a desk or work space in one of two ways: first come, first served, or by making a reservation. Instead of having one desk, employees with unassigned seating could instead use hot desks.

Unassigned seating gives employees more freedom and flexibility in their work areas, as well as the option to maximize available real estate and make the most of office space.
